Thank you for visiting our site!
There is much more to know about the Tuskegee Airmen than their fighter pilot history. On this site you can purchase our books, two Tuskegee Airmen Memoirs - Training the Best and A Pilot’s Journey, and have A Pilot's Journey signed, dedicated and dated by author, George Norfleet. These are two books that tell readers who these Tuskegee Airmen like Charles Herbert Flowers, Jr. and Curtis Robinson, Sr. really are, and captures the reason that they and their peers excelled so outstandingly during World War II and continued to do so during their lifetimes. Training the Best was written by Dorothy Poole and captures the story of Charles Herbert Flowers Jr., a primary flight instructor at Tuskegee Army Air Field from 1942 through 1945. Charles Herbert Flowers Jr. was a graduate of the third class, Class 42 F, at Tuskegee Army Air Field. He was one of the first thirteen Tuskegee Airmen to become a pilot. Mr. Flowers became a full time flight instructor, a primary flight instructor who transformed cadets into pilots. He trained roughly ten percent of the 996 pilots who were produced at Tuskegee Army Air Field. ![]()

Then he became a flight instructor. Mr. Robinson who passed away in October 2009, was a member of a family that produced three military officers and a staff sergeant who served during World War II - he plus three of his brothers.
